One week after that famous let down in Minneapolis, the Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Vikings on their way to a Super Bowl 52 victory. Meanwhile, down in New Orleans, my teammates and I watched on as our opportunity to win a world championship was taken by another team.

It’s never easy to watch the Super Bowl as a player, when you’re not actually playing in it.  It’s REALLY hard, when you feel like you should have been. Surely, all you Saints fans know exactly how that feels.

Well, that was last year.  This is a whole new season, but the title of World champs still sits upon the head of the Philadelphia Eagles.  It’s a title that the entire Who Dat Nation covets. Some people have suggested we may look past the Eagles.  I find that laughable.  THEY are the champs.  THEY have the target on their backs.  The road to become the champs, goes through them.

Today, we all continue that journey to the promise land.  We continue down the path that ends in Sean Payton hoisting the Lombardi Trophy high above his head, for all Saints fans worldwide.  It’s time, Saints fans. it’s time to continue our march to league dominance.

The Eagles are just the next step on our trip that ends in the home of our most hated rivals.  Before we get there, we have to take down Philly.  After all, in the words of Ric Flair, “If you wanna be the man… you have to BEAT the man.  WOOOOOOOOO.”

Today, in the Mercedes Benz Superdome, the defending world champion Philadelphia Eagles take on your New Orleans Saints.

I’ll be joined by the running back who once carried the entire Eagles defense into the endzone, on his back.  That’s my partner & Saints all-time leading rusher Deuce McAllister.

Most of you can’t be here, but you can join us in spirit.  Turn down your TV & sync up to the broadcast team who know the Black & Gold best. Let’s keep up the tradition on the  New Orleans Saints Radio Network.
