Get ready for Saints-Bucs NFC South showdown

For ten weeks the New Orleans Saints were near perfect.  It was admittedly an unsustainable level of offensive performance. Historic records falling week after week.  A quarterback looking every bit the best player in football despite his age.  An offensive line dominating to the point that I called in to Scoot’s radio show to proclaim them the Bullies of the Big Easy.  A wide receiver setting the mark of performance for the entire NFL.

Then Dallas happened.  Week 13 was a difficult one for the Saints nation.  Despite another elite performance by the Saints defense, the Saints fell, and it seemed all the air was sucked out of the Saints momentum.  Fortunately, it just felt that way…. the Saints return to action today vs divisional rival Tampa Bay.  A team that has an opportunity to take their 3rd straight against the Black and Gold.  That sentence seems crazy considering the trajectory of these too franchises, but it’s true.  The Saints would be wise to not let that happen. They’ll have to do it on a field saturated after a severe pregame thunderstorm.  Fortunately, this roster is built to do just that.

Deuce and I are right next door to the Saints coaches booth and I can assure you, if we aren’t running the football today, we will be knocking on the glass demanding answers.  It’s gonna be a good old fashion mudder here in Tampa Bay.  The type of game Deuce McAllister would thrive in.  Too bad he’s sitting next to me today in the booth.

It’s an NFC South showdown, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and your New Orleans Saints.  Let’s keep up the Who Dat Nation tradition...turn down the sound on your TV and turn up the team who know the Black & Gold best here on the New Orleans Saints Radio Network.
