Dream come true for Saints could be nightmare for Carolina

For 16 weeks the Saints have battled their way into the one seed in the NFC.  Today, they close the book on the 2018 regular season… then the real fun begins.  With a win today the Saints secure the winningest season in franchise history.  It’s also the winningest 2 year stretch in Saints history.  Any way you put it, it’s a good time to be a Saints fan.

We get our first look today at quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.  He has danced his way into our Saints culture, and today can throw his way into it as well.  No one knows what the future holds for Bridgewater and the Saints, but it’s possible today is the first of many starts with him under center.

Carolina starts their third quarterback of the season in Kyle Allen.  To call it an unlikely start is an understatement.  For 8 weeks this season he found himself at home on the couch.  Today Kyle Allen walks into the most hostile environment in the NFL to try and keep Carolina from being the first team in the Super Bowl era to finish 6-10 after starting 6-2.  It’s a tall task for a young man looking to find his way in the NFL.  I love watching dreams come true for young players, but an extremely aggressive Saints defense will look to turn those dreams into a nightmare.

It’s an NFC South showdown in the Superdome.  Let’s keep up the Saints fan tradition, turn down that TV and experience this Saints history making season with me and birthday boy, Deuce McAllister, on the New Orleans Saints Radio Network
