The Saints Alvin Kamara went into week 6 in Jacksonville with an ankle injury, then added a tweaked knee in-game. He sat out the last 2 contests, but appears to have benefited from the bye last week.

“I fully expect him to be ready to play,” said coach Payton about Kamara’s status for Sunday.  “I thought he looked really good yesterday.”

Kamara was limited in Wednesday’s practice, but from the sounds of could be upgraded to a full-go today.  He has gained 649 yards rushing/receiving with 2 scores this season and continues to be one of the most elusive players in the NFL.

In Kamara’s absence Latavious Murray came up big, gaining over 500 yards and scoring 4 touchdowns the last 2 games.  The Black & Gold added him in free agency to replace Mark Ingram and Murray’s gaining 4.5 yards per carry with 4 TDs while making 23 catches for 153 yards and getting his 1st career receiving TD.

“We feel like we're real good at that position,” said Coach Payton. “They're smart players. They're real good teammates. They're guys that can block, they're guys that can handle the pressures. They can handle the receiving element of it.”
