Minicamp has wrapped up for the Saints and wide receiver Rishard Matthews' tryout went well. He signed a contract with the Black & Gold after standing out in the 3 days of practices this week.

Matthews was a 7th round pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2012 and played four seasons there. He then signed with Tennessee Titans before being traded to the New York Jets during last season. His year ended on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. The soon to be 30 year old is just two years removed from back to back 800 yard seasons.

While one receiver joins the team, another is leaving. Former LSU Tigers Travin Dural has been waived.  He was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and spent time on the practice squad, then was put on inured reserve last season after suffering a broken arm in camp.
