The fact that Drew Brees is 0-4 in his Hall-of-Fame career vs. Baltimore is a stat that will be brought up time and time again this week heading into the Saints week 7 matchup against the Ravens on Sunday. The ultra-competitive 39 year old was asked how much it nags at him that there is just one NFL franchise he wasn't’t earned a victory against?

“A little bit”, Brees said smirking. “But you try to make it like any other game, any other opponent. You turn on the film and digest what you see.”

What everyone can see is that the Ravens has been stingy allowing a mere 13 point per game this season.  That is ranked #1 in the NFL along with giving up just 271 total yards per game.

“I’d love to beat these guys”, added Brees. They’re always a great team when you play them. You always know it’s going to be a slugfest.

Brees only has one match-up against Baltimore when he was with the Chargers. The other 3 contests came with the Saints.

2006 Ravens 35 Saints 22 – Brees 24 of 45 passing for 383 yards 3 TDs 3 INTs

2010 Ravens 30 Saints 24 – Brees 29 of 46 passing for 267 yards 3 TDs 1 INT

2014 Ravens 34 Saints 27 – Brees 34 of 45 passing for 420 yards 3 TDs 1 INT

It’s hard not to notice Brees had 45 or more passing attempts in the 3 Saints losses to the Ravens.  Perhaps the killer combo of Mark Ingram & Alvin Kamara at running back for the Black & Gold will be the key to victory this Sunday.
