The Saints continue to remodel their special teams staff. ESPN reports that Penn State assistant Phil Galiano is getting hired to be the Black & Gold's assistant special teams coach.

He joins former Miami Dolphins assistant Dan Rizzi after Mike Westhoff, Bradford Banta and Kevin O'Dea were let go. Galiano has been a college coach since 2014 and has spent the last two seasons with Penn State. He was an off-field defensive consultant in 2017, then moved to special teams coordinator last season. He has some NFL experience having worked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2012-13.
