The Saints were in need of some help on the defensive line and have signed Malcom Brown to a 3 year, $15 million deal.  The 25 year old was drafted in the first round of the 2015 draft by the New England Patriots and has tallied 8.5 career sacks with 186 tackles. The defensive tackle has been durable since coming into the league having missed just 4 games in 4 seasons.

Brown fills a need on the d-line since Sheldon Rankins is recovering from surgery on a torn Achilles, David Onyemata could be suspended for marajuana possession, and Tyeler Davison is a free agent.
