Looks like it did not take long for newly acquired cornerback Eli Apple to pick up the Saints defense. NFL insider Ian Rapoprt tweeted that Apple has moved into a starting role, pushing Ken Crawley to the bench:

The Black & Gold just traded for Apple earlier this week, sending a 2019 4th rd. pick and a 2020 7th rounder to the New York Giants. After a solid 2017, Crawley has not been able to play at the same level this year. He was benched for the week 3 match-up in Atlanta, but after Patrick Robinson was injured, was forced back into the line-up. Apple will now play opposite of Ohio State teammate Marshon Lattimore as the Saints look to slow down the Vikings dynamic duo at WR, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs.
