Mike Nolan joined the Saints last year as the team's linebackers coach. He replaced Joe Vitt and sure made a notable difference in year one.  The unit was able to overcome some early losses to AJ Klein, Alex Anzalone and Nate Stupar. Nolan seemed to get the very best out of whomever was healthy.

The Cajun Cannon Bobby Hebert and Saints sideline reporter Kristian Garic caught up with him after the 1st day of mini-camp and asked what he likes about this year's group of linebackers.

"It's a cohesive group, but its also a very competitive group", Nolan replied.  "The top 4/5 guys they see themselves as starters. Obviously only 3 and sometimes only 2 can be on the field at one time. So, if anything I've always thought that the competitive level of any player is probably the strongest attribute he can have. There is a lot of talented guys out here, but if you don't have a competitive fire you're probably going to ride the bench more than likely."

Nolan goes on to talk about his entire group of LBs; from Demario Davis to Manti Teo. Click here to listen to the interview:
