Pile on some more depth to the Saints offensive line. The team has signed James Hurst to a one-year-deal, according to his agent.

The 28-year-old went undrafted out of North Carolina in 2014, but proved to be a valuable piece to the Ravens offensive line.  He played in 90 games in 6 years; 44 came as a starter.  The 6ft5, 310 pounder has lined-up everywhere along the o-line, except center.

Now, the bad news. Hurst is suspended for the first four games of the 2020 season for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing substances. He will be able to participate in training camp and preseason games. The ban doesn’t begin until the first week of the regular season. Hurst will be able to return to the active roster on the Monday after the Saints week 4 match-up against the Detroit Lions.
