Another year of injuries is challenging the Saints at cornerback AGAIN. The projected top guy for the unit coming into the season was Delvin Breaux. Now he is on the shelf for 6 weeks after just having surgery to fix a fractured bone in his leg.

We'll hear about the "next man up, so who does that leave for the Black and Gold in this case?

P.J. Williams - Had a really good camp a year ago, but a sophomore surge was stopped short by a serious concussion in week 2. Injuries have kept us from seeing him in action to really know what he can do. He's played in just 2 regular season games after getting picked in the 3rd round of the 2015 draft.

Marshon Lattimore - The newest Ohio State player on the Bayou will need to lean on his Buckeye brothers to get acclimated quickly to the NFL. Lattimore started camp with a tweaked knee so is a little behind, but he will make his NFL debut Sunday vs the Chargers. He was drafted 11th overall for a reason and should be excepted to contribute now.

Ken Crawley - He started to sizzle in his second training camp with the Saints after going undrafted out of Colorado last year.  Crawley went through highs and lows in the first preseason game against the Browns, but he seems to have that short term mememory needed to be a corner in the NFL.  He wanted to become more phsycial this year; so he did some boxing, kickboxing, and MMA to get ready for combat in 2017.

Sterling Moore - His veteran presence is needed for all the young bucks. Moore joined this team last year and ended up getting a ton of playing time as the injury bug bit.  He is a 7 year veteran who is at the very least is a great voice in the locker room.

De'vante Harris - Like Crawley, he made his way onto last year's roster after going undrafted.  The Aggie out of Texas A&M is showing a lot more confidence this season and has made a number of interceptions at practice.  Harris will continue to showcase his skills and get oppoeunities.

Damian Swann - I dont know if he would have made most folks projected 53 man roster before the Breaux injury, but with added depth needed now , Swann just might stick around.  He was in the 2015 class with PJ Williams and this 5th round pick hasn't been available much either due to injuries.

Arthur Maulet - He's a darkhorse canditate to make the roster but will most likely end up on the practice sqaud.  He is 5'9, but he plays bigger. He has confidence for a kid undrafted out of Memphis. It's also a good local sotry as Mault attneded Bonnanbel high school.
