It’s been a while since we’ve seen Alvin Kamara in action. He got some extra time to heal during the bye after missing the Saints last two contests. The running back was back to being a full-go at practice Thursday and is anxious to return to the field week 10 vs. Atlanta.

“I plan to play like I ‘aint missed a beat,” Kamara said smiling.

In 6 games, Kamara has 86 carries for 373 yards and 33 catches for 276 yards; making two trips to the endzone.  What’s something he learned about this year’s squad while out?

“I mean, it's going to keep moving, but it's a hungry team,” responded Kamara. “We find a way to win. We prepare every week the same as if everybody's up. You see what we did when Drew was gone. It's the next man up mentality.  We just got one thing in mind, and that’s winning. So, we find a way.”

The Black & Gold managed to find ways to win without a lot of guys this season.  Besides Brees and Kamara; Jared Cook, Tre’Quan Smith, PJ Williams, Trey Hendrickson, David Onyemata and Sheldon Rankins are among those that have missed time. But, the best news is that everyone is back for the 2nd half of the regular season.

“It's scary,” said Kamara. “We’ve got so much talent and I think we know we're capable of.  Starting in camp it’s been a message of we're worried about what's going on in this facility, in this room, in this locker room, on this field, on this team. Not worried about the opponent, just worried about us.”
