Wednesday’s injury report remained the same today.  QB Drew Brees (thumb), WR Tre’Quan Smith (ankle), RB Alvin Kamara (ankle / knee) and TE Jared Cook (ankle) did not practice. DE Trey Hendrickson (neck) was limited.

While Brees isn’t wearing a helmet or throwing, he is doing some things at practice.  During the portion the media gets to see he lined up with the receivers the other day and caught a few passes. Today he handed the ball off the some running backs, so is still getting some work in with the team.

With Kamara not taking part in practice, the Saints brought in Zach Zenner the other day to add some depth to the running back room.  The 28 year old spent 4 years with the Detroit Lions and is trying to get acclimated to his new surroundings.

“Come in, pick up the offense, pick up on special teams, wherever I’m needed. Fill in and do the best I can in whatever I’m asked to do, said Zenner in the locker room on Thursday.

I’d expect Dwayne Washington to see a bigger role in the offense though if Kamara cannot go Sunday in Chicago, while Latavious Murray would be the Saints primary running back.
