Saints practice report: Meredith returns to practice, but Okafor leaves with injury

The Saints have their first injury scare of training camp, after defensive end Alex Okafor went down during team drills.  When Okafor went down, you could hear a pin drop in the Saints indoor facility.  Okafor ended up getting up and walking off the field with trainers, but he was visibly upset, tossing his mouthpiece across the field.  Okafor is coming off an achillies injury from last season and has looked really good in camp so far.  The team doesn't specify injuries during the pre-season.

"It's a positive sign for him to even walk off the field," explained Deuce McAllister, who knows a thing or two about knee injuries.

"They were looking at the knee area, but it's hard to tell.  Yes, you can walk off the field under your own power if you injured your ACL," he added.
