Sean Payton: Saints are "in a race to improve”

Coach wasn't happy after win over Browns

The Saints got a gift of a win on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.  You take 'em anyway, you get them in the NFL -- you don’t lose or gain credit for style points.

The Saints are clearly missing Mark Ingram, serving his four game suspension. In the first two games of the year the rushing attack has suffered. Coach Sean Payton has been looking for a guy to step up and be the guy who can spell him.

"We’ve yet to do that,” Payton said.

Regardless the Saints have to make the corrections from the Browns game and move on.

“I think the reaction of our players will be the right one. You put the tape on, you just see the opportunities early in that game. Our team will see that,” Payton added.
