LISTEN: Reggie Bush on getting named to Saints Hall-of-Fame

"I credit a lot of my early success to Deuce McAllister"

2006 was a franchise changing moment for the Saints. It was Sean Payton and Drew Brees first season in New Orleans and that year’s draft class turned out to be a major building block for a Super Bowl title 3 years later. It was announced today that 1st round pick Reggie Bush and 7th round selection Marques Colston are going to be inducted into the Saints Hall-of-Fame this season.

Bush was selected 2nd overall in ‘06 and brought immediate excitement to the Who Dat Nation. He was electric at USC and NOBODY expected him to become a Saint.  The Heisman Trophy winner was set to be the first overall pick until the Houston Texans changed their minds the night before the draft and opted to take defensive end Mario Williams. Bush went on to play 5 years in Black & Gold, rushing for 2,090 yards with 2,142 yards receiving and 29 touchdowns.  He also made fans hold their breath during punt returns too, adding 4 more trips to the end zone on special teams.

Bush joined Sports Talk to chat with Bobby and Zach about what playing for the Saints meant to him and how he will always love New Orleans.
