LISTEN: The “Quiet Storm” Marques Colston talks about getting selected to Saints HOF

The Saints scouting department did a heck of a job discovering a 6ft4, 225 pound wide receiver out of Hofstra in 2006.  Marques Colston was a 7th round draft pick that turned out to be the best receiver in the Black & Gold’s franchise history. He will be inducted into the team’s Hall-of-Fame in October, owning numerous franchise records:

Most career receptions (711)

Most career receiving yards (9,759)

Most yards from scrimmage (9,766)

Highest career receiving average (13.7)

Most career receiving touchdowns (72)

Total touchdowns (72)

Most seasons with 1,000 receiving yards (6)

Most games with 100+ yards receiving (28)

Most games played by a wide receiver (146)

Colston dropped by Sports Talk to chat with his former teammate Zach Strief along with Bobby Hebert about his 10 year career in Black & Gold and what playing for the Saints meant to him.
