LISTEN: NFLPA President Eric Winston on getting rid of some preseason games & adding to the regular season

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell wants to reduce the preseason schedule, saying he doesn't believe four preseason games are needed.

"I feel what we should be doing is always to the highest quality, and I'm not sure preseason games meet that level right now," Goodell said. "I'm not sure, talking with coaches, that four preseason games is necessary any more to get ready for a season to evaluate players, develop players. There are other ways of doing that, and we've had a lot of discussions about that."

If the length of the preseason gets reduced though, the league might try to make up for it by adding two weeks to the regular season. While fans may be all for that, NFLPA President Eric Winston stopped by Sports Talk and tells us that the players are not interested in any extra regular season games.
