The New Orleans Pelicans have announced their NBA Summer League mini-camp schedule and roster.

Their three day mini-camp begins tomorrow, Tuesday, July 2, and runs through Thursday, July 4.  Each practice will run from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will be held in Las Vegas.

The Pelicans have 13 players on their Summer League roster, which is subject to change:

  • Jalen Adams, G
  • Javon Bess, G/F
  • Trevon Bluiett, G
  • Tony Carr, G
  • Zylan Cheatham, F
  • Aubrey Dawkins, G
  • Makoto Hiejima, G
  • Frank Jackson, G
  • London Perrantes, G
  • Luke Petrasek, F
  • Kenrich Williams, F
  • Zion Williamson, F
  • Christian Wood, C

There are a few glaring omissions from the roster, most notably three incoming Pelicans' rookies.  Jaxson Hayes, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and Didi Louzada Silva aren't listed, but will almost assuredly eventually suit up for the team.  The reason they've been left off?  Simple.  The Pelicans and Lakers can't officially consummate their trade until July 6, per NBA rules.  Once that trade is completed, and the players sign their contracts, the trio will be expected to play with the team this summer.

Unfortunately that timing means the team will be without the three rookies during at least their Summer League opener against the New York Knicks on Friday, July 5.  That game will tip off at 6:30 p.m. CT and be televised nationally on ESPN.  The Pelicans' full Summer League schedule is below.

  • Friday, July 5 - 6:30 p.m. vs. Knicks (ESPN)
  • Saturday, July 6 - 7:00 p.m. vs. Wizards (ESPN)
  • Monday, July 8 - 6:30 p.m. vs. Bulls (NBA TV)
  • Wednesday, July 10 - 4:30 p.m. vs. Cavaliers (ESPN 2)
  • July 12-15: Playoffs TBD
