The New Orleans Pelicans 2018-19 schedule has been released.

As was previously reported, the Pelicans will open the season on Wednesday, Oct. 17 on the road against the Houston Rockets.  The team will play their home opener couple of days later on Friday, Oct. 19 in the Smoothie King Center against the Sacramento Kings.

Some highlights of the schedule include the Pelicans being featured on national television a team-record 13 times, including games at home against Oklahoma City (Dec. 12), Minnesota (Feb. 8) and road contests at the Los Angeles Lakers (Dec. 21), at Golden State (Jan. 16) and at Portland (Nov. 1).

The NBA schedule tries to be as equitable as possible with which teams each club plays.  There are a couple of quirks, however.  The Pelicans play the Warriors, Clippers, Jazz, and Blazers only three times each this year, while playing the rest of their Western Conference opponnents four times.
