The Dallas Cowboys backed up the trash talk by some of their defensive players this week by shutting down the previously high-powered Saints offense in a 13-10 win in front of a national TV audience on Thursday Night Football.

Saints radio color commentator Deuce McAllister gave his thoughts after the game on the Saints poor offensive showing, but credited the Cowboys defense for their stellar performance.

"They were able to do some different things defensively that they were not able to take advantage of," McAllister said.  "I thought the physical play of the (Cowboys) corners really disrupted what the Saints were trying to do."

One of the biggest problems for the Saints, according to Deuce, was the struggles of the Saints run game which didn't force Dallas to change their defensive scheme of dropping seven players into coverage.

"The Saints were really not able to run the football like they have.  They were able to run some toss plays, but not enough of them.  (It's why) you have one of your lowest outputs as far as total yards are concerned."
