Bobby Hebert on Saints loss to Tampa Bay

The New Orleans Saints may have lost the battle on Sunday, a 31-24 defeat at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  They won the war, however, as the Saints captured their first NFC South crown since 2013 after getting help from, yes, the Falcons who beat the Panthers to hand the division to their rivals from New Orleans.

WWL resident pro Bobby Hebert said it was a bitter sweet day for the Saints, but much more sweet than bitter.

"I don't know how you can describle this, because it's not a tie," Hebert said.  "You have to look at the overall acheivement."

That overall acheivemement is winning the NFC South division and getting a berth into the playoffs.  Should the Saints go on a run deep into January then nobody will remember their week 17 stumble in Tampa.

"That was a frustrating loss, but you were still able to win the NFC South.  So nobody is going to remember the score that occured," he said.  "They'll just know that you won your division, when it's all said and done, with an 11 win season.  Depending on what you do in the playoffs, that's what you'll remember going forward."
