You know that national media talking point about Zion Williamson heading back to Duke to avoid being taken by the Pelicans in the upcoming NBA Draft? The hot take heard ‘round the Crescent City can be officially put to bed.

Today Williamson signed with professional representation, effectively ending his college career. WWL has confirmed through an agency representative that Williamson will be repped by CAA Sports.

CAA (Creative Artists Agency, LLC) is a longtime, well-known agency with over four decades of experience, and whose clients span the sports world, with a list notably headed up by Saints quarterback Drew Brees.

Basketball agent Austin Brown and executive Lisa Joseph-Metelus will be Williamson’s representatives, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Brown’s list of clients in the NBA include Brooklyn’s D’Angelo Russell, Denver’s Gary Harris, Cleveland’s Collin Sexton and Jaren Jackson of Memphis. As for Joseph-Metelus, she was key in turning Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade into a worldwide basketball superstar.

Williamson is the consensus to be selected first overall in the NBA Draft on June 20. The New Orleans Pelicans own the #1 pick.
