The official details are in on Cameron Jordan's new contract with the Saints, a deal that will pay the Saints' sack leader $71.6 million over the next five seasons.

The new contract locks the team's top defensive end down through the 2023 season, tacking three additional years onto the two he had remaining on his current deal. The deal includes $41.7 million in guaranteed money.

Jordan has produced double-digit sacks in each of the past two seasons with 25 total over that span. He's also added another 35 tackles for loss recorded in that span. In all, Jordan has tallied 60 plays behind the opposing team's line of scrimmage over the past 32 games.

Jordan also has 49 quarterback hits registered in addition to his sack total in the last two years.

The former first-round draft choice out of California has 71.5 sacks over the course of his seven seasons in New Orleans. Another 12-sack season in 2019 would move Jordan ahead of both Pat Swilling and Wayne Martin for second-place all-time in Saints history. Pro Football Hall of Famer Rickey Jackson holds the franchise record for a career with 115.

Jordan has never missed a game since being drafted by the Saints in 2011.
