The Pelicans have traded the fourth overall pick of tonight’s NBA Draft. That's according to a report by ESPN. That selection was part of the compensation they received for sending Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers. Now that fourth pick will belong to the Atlanta Hawks.

The Hawks will also receive a second-rounder from the Pelicans, #57 overall, as well as a future second-rounder and forward Solomon Hill.

In return, the Pelicans receive two more first-rounders – picks 8 and 17 – and a pick near the top of the second round at #35. The Pelicans also receive a 2020 first-rounder from the Hawks that originally belonged to Cleveland.

The Pelicans also own the first overall pick, which they are expected to use to take Duke star Zion Williamson. The NBA Draft starts at 6pm, and we’ll have full coverage on WWL.
