As the NBA's suspension of play remains in place indefinitely, the Association is taking a hard look at the numbers. Reports indicate that the Association's top 100 executives around the world may end up taking a 20% cut in their salary. However this pay cut at the top may keep the NBA from having to endure painful firings and layoffs to lower-paid support staff

Of course, the Pelicans remain in limbo until the COVID-19 outbreak begins to subside, and Pelicans Vice President of Basketball Operations/Team Development Swin Cash told Pelicans Playback at Pelicans.com that the only way they'll weather the storm is through communication.

"This difficult time right now is truly about family," Cash said, "And pulling together and making sure we're checking on one another. Making sure they understand what the options are and making sure they're informed. And we just try to do our best to make sure that we're staying connected so that whenever [NBA Commissioner] Adam Silver gives us the go-ahead, we're able to rock and roll and get back out there on the court and be the leaders in the community that we've been all season long."
