For the first time this season, the Pelicans have strung together back to back victories as they put down the Portland Trail Blazers in the Smoothie King Center last night.

Jrue Holiday led the way with 22 points. The team also welcomed leading scorer Brandon Ingram back from a knee injury that caused him to miss four games. He wasn't far behind Holiday, chipping in 21.

So the Pelicans have won two straight, three of their last four, and four of their last six to push their record from 1-7 to 5-9 in that span. Now they'll look to carry that momentum with them on their upcoming three-game road trip. They'll play back to back games this weekend against the Jazz in Salt Lake City and the Clippers in Los Angeles, but it all starts in Phoenix with a nationally televised matchup with the 7-6 Suns. If the Pels have turned a corner, they'll get to showcase it for the whole country Thursday night in the desert.
