The Saints are working out a contract with special teams ace and cornerback Justin Hardee, according to a league source.

The deal for the mainstay in the Saints' kicking game is expected to be for one year.

Hardee originally joined the Saints three years ago after being cut by the Houston Texans before the start of the regular season.  Per a league source, the Saints weren't the only team in the mix for Hardee as he garnered strong interest from other franchises around the league.

The Saints also added fullback Michael Burton.

New Orleans needed a fullback after Zach Line decided to retire this off-season. Burton spent time with the Saints last preseason and was released in August.
