Ball hawking defense: The Saints offense is well aware of the play making prowess of the Chicago Bears defense that will invade the Super Dome on Sunday.  Chicago's offense isn't always something to write home about, but the Defense is something to be aware of.  The Bears are 9th in the NFL in passing yards allowed, and 11th against the run, and 7th in over all defense.  Those aren't monsters of the midway numbers but still pretty impressive.  Chicago also does a really good job of rushing the passer, with twenty one sacks this season through seven games. "They do a really good job of getting pressure on the quarterback," explained head Coach Sean Payton.  The biggest strength to the Bears defense is former Saints defensive tackle Akiem Hicks.  Hicks was drafted by New Orleans in 2012 in the third round.  He's racked up six of the teams twenty one quarterback take downs this season.   The Bears have score five defensive touchdowns this season.

Can't go mike:  Saints WR Mike Thomas affectionately known by his twitter handle @cantguardmike showed up today's injury report with a knee injury.  Thomas did not practice.  WR Willie Snead is officially off the injury report, after battling hamstring injuries the last three weeks. He took every rep in practice today.  OT Terron Armstead (shoulder) also did not practice along with RG Larry Warford (abdomen).  Armstead is likely just a rest day after a lot game reps since returning from the off-season shoulder surgery in week six.
