Marcus Williams could turn out to be Saints best 2017 draft pick

Judging by the camp turned in so far by second year Saints safety Marcus Williams it's not a crazy thought.  Williams routinely gets his hands on the football almost every practice of training camp.

"It's crazy to think that the Saints had the offensive and defensive rookie of the year last season in RB Alvin Kamara and CB Marshon Lattimore, but yet I think Marcus Williams could be better than both of them," exclaimed the Cajun Cannon Bobby Hebert.

Whoa! That's saying something right there.  Williams has been awfully impressive in camp.

Another standout in camp so far has been rookie WR Tre'quan Smith.

"He's better than Brandin Cooks for my money.  You know why? Because he can give you YAC (yards after catch) and Cooks didn't," said Hebert.  Smith has dazzled with tough contested catches and his ability to make plays after he catches the ball.

You should get to see Smith's ability on Thursday night in the pre-season opener against Jacksonville at 6pm.
