Freshman pitcher Cole Henry is growing up right before our eyes.  Henry pitched LSU to the series win giving up just two runs for the 9-3 victory over the Aggies.

What's more impressive is how it happened.  Henry hit the first batter of the game, and gave up two runs in the first inning, then cruised the rest of the way recording 8 innings on the mound sitting down the final 10 batters he faced. Henry struck out 9 Texas A&M hitters.

Junior short stop Josh Smith went off in this series with 2 home runs and timely clutch hitting.  Zach Watson had four hits in the final game of the series, with three extra base hits.

The Tigers are now 8-4 in the SEC, that’s in a log jammed SEC West.  Don't look now, but the Tigers are tied for the SEC West lead, after starting the season with a lot of concerns before conference play.

LSU won three out of four SEC series, and this marks the second conference series win against a top 15 team.

The Tigers are starting to put it all together as we kick off the month April.  This is LSU baseball! This is how we expect the Tigers to play. What was once considered a weakness, is now a strength.  The pitching staff has come alive for LSU.
