It looked bleak for LSU baseball in the 7th inning of game 2 of the series against Arkansas.  They were down 8-1; and the sharks were circling, waiting to feast on the dead body that would be the LSU baseball team with sky high expectations. Coming into that game, the Tigers were 5-5 and reeling. LSU saved their season with a 2-0 win on Sunday on the heels of Eric Walker's complete game shut out.  The Tigers rallied for 9 runs in 3 innings to take the win 10-8 over the Razorbacks.

LSU saved their season with a 2-0 victory on Sunday.  A loss would have almost certainly spelled doom for a team filled with championship expectations.  The Tigers played with those expectations on their shoulders in a lot of ways. LSU could look back on this series with Arkansas as the turning point of the season if they make the post seasson and beyond. The Tigers had their backs against the wall and came out fighting. LSU knew it was a season on the brink of disaster, and they responded like a team that had championship aspirations.

The Tigers have a mid-week contest against ULL before stepping back into conference play this Thursday night at The Box against Ole Miss.  LSU is 7-5 in SEC play, and the Rebels stand in the way of separation in the conference, so look out.  It's all going down Thursday night! LSU saved their season against Arkansas on the road.  This weekend, LSU can assert themselves as the dominant program everone expected.
