Saints all-time leading rusher Deuce McAllister knows a thing or two about what a ground game means to a quarterback. Tonight’s national championship game between LSU and Clemson features two of the best signal callers in the country in Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence. “For LSU to win this game, they have to be able to run the ball against Clemson. LSU is going to get a lot of coverage looks from Clemson that will be favorable for the Tigers to run the ball against,” said Ole Miss Legend Deuce McAllister said.

The Purple & Gold are 84-0, when they rush for a 100 and don’t give up 100 yards in a game. That’s staggering!

Clemson running back Travis Etienne leads the country averaging eight yards per carry. “Stopping him will be paramount for Dave Aranda and that LSU defense. That will help you defend quarterback Trevor Lawrence,” McAllister added.

LSU and Clemson kick off tonight at 7:15 in the Mercedes Benz Superdome and on the Tigers’ New Orleans stations WWL 870am, 105.3fm, and the RADIO.COM app.
