The Saints battle the Carolina Panthers Monday night in Charlotte.  Here is what the Cajun Cannon wants to see from the Saints in order to pull off the win.

  1.  Get after Cam Newton:  “He’s been injured, and the book on him is…if you harass him, hit and sack him…he’s going to get erratic in the pocket and make mistakes,” the Cannon said.  Newton is dealing with a banged up right throwing shoulder for the better part of the season.  Two weeks ago Cam threw four interceptions against Tampa.
  2. Get off to a fast start:  “Jump on them early!  Crush their fragile confidence.  Don’t let a team, that has lost five in a row think they can hang with you,” explained an excited Hebert.  Some in Carolina wonder if the Panthers have already started to think about next year.
  3. Get back to the big play:  “The Saints offense hasn’t been very explosive lately with big plays.  That element needs to return.  I’m concerned about the vertical passing threat with the Saints right now.  We have to see some of that in this game, if we are going to be encouraged about the playoffs,” Hebert added.

Bobby’s prediction:  “It’s hard to beat a team four times in a row, but I like the Saints to win and cover 27-17 over the Panthers,” says the Cajun Cannon.
