Bobby Hebert: If the Saints don’t shoot themselves in the foot, they got the Eagles

Bobby Hebert isn’t worried about the Eagles coming to New Orleans desperate for a win Sunday against the Saints.  The Cajun Cannon simply knows the Saints are the better team.  “They are better than the Eagles, and better by a lot.  Now, that doesn’t mean the Eagles can’t beat the Saints,” he explained.  That is the case with every team in the NFL.

The Saints are the hottest team in the league; winners of 8 straight.  “It’s simple.  If the Saints turn the ball over a couple of times or shoot themselves in the foot, they’ll get beat by the Eagles,” said Hebert.  “The Saints should win this one going away,” he added.  The Saints are nearly 9 point favorites over the defending Super Bowl Champion Eagles.  “The Saints offense is too much for just about any team to handle right now, and for a banged up Philly team...that could spell doom,” warned the Cannon.

Another key component to this game is the play of the Saints offensive line.  “The Eagles front four is really good!  The secondary is really in trouble, with injuries.  But if the front four can get after Brees, then that might be a problem,” Hebert added.

Drew Brees is the least sacked QB in the NFL.  However, left tackle Terron Armstead is out for Sunday’s showdown with a pectoral injury.  “I’m interested to see if the Saints kick Andrus Peat out to tackle, and move Jermon Bushrod to guard, or just simply play Bushrod at left tackle,” Hebert wondered.   Bushrod filled in at left tackle last week, when Armstead left the Bengals game with an injury.

Prediction:  “If the Saints stay in the plus category of the turnover margin, they will win and cover the spread.  It does matter when you play a team, and the Eagles are just too banged up right now. I like the Saints 34-20 over the Eagles” said Bobby Hebert, the Founding Father of the Who Dat Nation.
