This is an exciting part of training camp, getting to evaluate the offensive and defensive lines with pads on.

Today the big guys up front on the defensive line made their presence felt.

“A handful of times it forced to Drew (Brees) where he couldn’t step into this throws,” said The Cajun Cannon Bobby Hebert.

All four quarterbacks were under a pretty significant amount of pressure during the team portion of practice.

The Saints on the defensive line were running a lot stunts up front with some tackle/end twists.

The offensive line adjusted and slowed them down a bit, but the quarterbacks weren’t able to step into a few of their throws.

“This is not something to write home about in the O-line meeting room,” Hebert quipped.

Saints color analyst Deuce Mcallister agreed with Hebert.

“I thought the offensive line needed to be stouter,” the former Saints running back noted.

To be fair the Saints were working on third and medium, so the defensive line knew they could pin their ears back and rush the passer.

The Saints get a day off from training camp tomorrow, and return to the field Thursday morning at 8:50am.
