6-2 Saints still looking for that perfect game

Could they make a Super Bowl run this season?

From 0-2 to 6-2 the Saints recent winning streak is no fluke.  The Saints looked destined for major changes in the off-season after the first two games of the regular season.  Now, after their six game winning streak the only change that could come would be another Lombardi trophy on Airline Drive.  The Saints are that good this year.  However, QB Drew Brees still feels like the teams best is yet to come. "We're finding ways to win games, and playing complementary football. Yet there are still ways to improve," Brees said after the teams 30-10 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.  The Saints weren't perfect but still managed to win another game by double digits.

The Saints six game winning streak in large part has been due to strong defensive play and an offense featuring rookie RB Alvin Kamara in the passing game and running game.

"He's very explosive. There is raw talent. Now it's just about fine tunning and assimilating him into our offense," Brees said of the rookie. Kamara has lived up to his billing, averaging a staggering 6.0 yards per carry on the ground, and proving to be a significant weapon out of the backfield in the passing game.

The Saints are looking for their seventh win in a row this week on the road against the Buffalo Bills.  "It's a really tough place to play. They are going to be ready to go. They played on Thursday night so they get a little extra prep time for us. We're going to have to be ready to go," Brees said.  The Bills are one of the surprise teams in the NFL this year at 5-3 coming off a Thursday night football loss to the New York Jets.  The Bills feature a really good defense and an offense that is sneaky good.  The Saints will have their work cut out for them with less than stellar weather ahead.
