Fans and the media have dissected the Saints poor performance in a loss to the Vikings on Monday night the past four days, and frustration seems to have reached a tipping point.  The 2017 season was billed as a turning moment for this franchise after three consecutive 7-9 campaigns.  Yet on opening night they looked like the same 'ole Saints.   Former Saints running back Deuce McAllister understands why people are upset.

"I don't know if an overreaction, I think it's frustration," Deuce said.  "I think it's really a build up or boil over because of the last couple of year of not having success . . ."

Things won't get any easier this weekend when the defending Super Bowl champions visit the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.  Many people think the New England Patriots are primed to embarass the Saints in front of their home crowd.  What needs to change for that not to happen?

"They've got to be on the same page," Deuce said.  "I don't know if (a simpler defense) is how they want to approach it but you need a good showing this Sunday."

Watch Deuce chat with Saints sideline reporter Kristian Garic in the video below.
