His weekly football bets

Well last week was another bad week.  I was even, that means I lose.  Going 4-4 is not good by anyone’s standards and it’s time to get some weeks of winning going here.  As it stands currently I am 25-19-2 overall this season. And I need a very good week.  I’ll try these below, let’s go!

College plays

LSU plus 9 OVER Auburn:  Ok I feel ya when I’m told that this is not a very talented LSU Football Team.  And Auburn was the pre-season fav to be the next best to Alabama.  But this is Auburn we are talking about not Bama.  Getting any SEC Team at home with nearly double digits is something that I can live with if I lose.  I think LSU will battle hard and keep this closer than the predicted nine point spread.

South Carolina plus 3 OVER Tennessee:  This could be the game that really sends BJ (Butch Jones) into a tailspin that he can’t overcome.  Tennessee has already lost to East powers Florida and UGA.  And a loss to South Carolina would again assure the Vols that they are once again a second to third tier team in the SEC East.  That’s not a good thing in Rocky Top!

Texas A&M plus 3 OVER Florida:  Florida was seemingly rolling right along and looked as if they had found some sort of offensive rhythm.  But after a 16 point output against an LSU Team that gave up a lot of yards and 24 points the week before makes me think that the UF Offense is still nowhere near fixed.  A&M has not been world beaters but they have made a little run, played well against Alabama.  And they can really keep Coach Sumlin in contention to retain his job with a road win over the Gators.

Oklahoma minus 7 1/2 OVER Texas:  Come on Bust a move Baker!  How in the hell did yall lose to the Cyclones?  But getting outscored by ISU is even a worse way for the Boomer Sooners to lose.  Now the big Texas State Fair battle takes place with the Longhorns playing pretty good as of late.  Two new coaches get their first crack at this big game between Big XII Rivals.  And each coach knows you can lose games, but if you win this battle more often than not you can very well hang on to your gig a lot longer than is you lose more!

NFL Moves

OVER 39 ½ in Baltimore versus Chicago:  I’m thinking that the Bears can score a couple of TD’s, I am hoping for 17 points from Chicago.  And then let the Purple Birds get us to the window with a deposit slip!

Atlanta minus -9 OVER Miami:  The Fins have lost their two games by 14 and 20 points against the Jets and Saints.  And both of those team’s offensive units are not as good as the ATL’s.  Plus the Dirty, Dirty Birds are at home.  Lay the nine, drink some T-Bird Wine and have a good time!  Dayum dat rhymes!
