Could Jimmy Graham return to New Orleans?

The Saints offense is flying high like it normally does, ranking 4th in yards per game. NFL teams are always looking to get better, however; and there are rumors that the Seattle Seahawks are considering trading Jimmy Graham.

The Saints traded Graham to the Seahawks in 2015 for center Max Unger and a first round pick, which they went on to use to select linebacker Stephone Anthony (who was traded to Miami earlier this season).

Could Jimmy Graham return to New Orleans? Bobby Hebert and Deke Bellavia discussed this possibility on Sportstalk, and they both like the potential.

“Now you're talking about him fitting in offense that's more balanced in the backfield,” said Bellavia. “And look at the targets you have like Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara. Luther Vandross always said, 'Love is better the second time around.' Who knows? The return of Jimmy Graham may be better the second time around.”

The Cajun Cannon was just as excited.

“I'm telling you. Jimmy Graham in a Saints uniform would flourish. It's all about confidence and relationships and that trust factor between him and Drew. Just look at Jimmy Graham's career. It was like Hall of Fame numbers.”

The Saints signed Coby Fleener before the 2016 hoping for big things, but his production hasn't quite matched the expectations. Deke knows which tight end he would take.

“When it comes down to it, I ask you this. If it came down to what you've seen in a Saints uniform, you're telling me you're going to go with Coby Fleener over Jimmy Graham? Please.”

It's unknown what Seattle would want in return for the tight end, and it could be a fairly high cost. Hebert isn't overly concerned with that, though.

“Realistically, the about what the hell you're going to do right now.”
