LSU backup quarterback Peter Parrish was not present at LSU’s first two spring practices. Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron announced Tuesday that the redshirt freshman had been suspended.

“Peter Parrish has been suspended from the team, indefinitely, for a violation of team rules,” Orgeron said. “I don’t know when he is going to be back.”

With Parrish out, LSU’s two freshmen early enrollees, TJ Finley and Max Johnson have been splitting second-team reps.

Orgeron said he’s liked what he’s seen from the young passers and is focusing on making sure they are ready to play if first-team quarterback Myles Brennan is unable to for any reason.

He added that Brennan is ahead of the two freshman and has impressed coaches during the practices.
