Sean Payton said all week that he expected Teddy Bridgewater to play well but that New Orleans had to play better around him.

The Saints (2-1) certainly did that and more as they picked up a 33-27 win against the Seattle Seahawks (2-1).

Bridgewater started for New Orleans as regular first team quarterback Drew Brees was out as he recovers from surgery on his injured thumb. Bridgewater completed 19 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns in the victory and Alvin Kamara racked up over 160 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns. The Saints offense was aided by a special teams score as rookie Deonte Harris returned the game’s first punt 53 yards which gave New Orleans an early 7-0 lead.

The Saints also got a defensive score when Vonn Bell returned a fumble forced by Eli Apple 33 yards in the second quarter.
