The New Orleans Saints and Drew Brees have come to terms on a contract that will have the Pro Bowler back in the uniform for the 2020 season, accoring to several reports.

The deal is reportedly for two-years, $50 million.

Brees announced he would return for his 20th NFL season earlier this year. He turned 41 in January and has said in numerous interviews this offseason that his goal is to bring another championship to New Orleans and the reported terms of the deal gives the Saints some flexibility in free agency as he'll earn roughly $25 million a season, much less and quarterbacks of his stature have signed for this offseason.

The quarterback returns to a franchise that went 13-3 last season. He passed for 2,979 yards and 27 touchdowns while nearly matching a career-best by completing 74.3 percent of his passes in 2019. He missed five games with an injured thumb, but was still able to become the NFL’s all-time leader in touchdown passes last year. Brees is currently the NFL's all-time leader in yards, completions and completion percentage as well.
