LSU receiver Justin Jefferson is headed to the NFL.

Yahoo! Sports first reported the star's decision.

Jefferson has been the Tigers most productive receiver the past three seasons and is coming off the best year of his college career.  He posted 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns on 111 receptions.

“LSU took me under their arms and practically raised me,” Justin Jefferson told Yahoo! Sports.  “Being in this situation now and seeing myself leaving LSU, I’m definitely grateful for the coaches and fans, and especially my teammates for being there with me.  I’m definitely going to miss it.  The staff and everyone in that building was great.”

The former two-star recruit out of Destrehan was the last member of the Tigers' recruiting 2017 class, but went on to have one of the most productive careers in program history.

Jefferson became the fourth LSU player to declare early for the draft; safety Grant Delpit, center Lloyd Cushenberry and linebacker Patrick Queen also declared.
