LSU earned a 42-28 win against then seventh-ranked Florida Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.

The No. 2 Tigers also scored a win in the ratings as the 7 p.m. matchup was the most watched college football game on ESPN in nearly two years.

The telecast averaged 6.45 million viewers and peaked at 7.428 million viewers in the second half, the network announced Tuesday.

The roughly 102,000 fans in attendance at Tiger Stadium, watched SEC Offensive Player of the Week Joe Burrow pass for 293 yards and three touchdowns against the Gators and lead LSU to a 6-0 record.

The Tigers head to Starkville Saturday to face Mississippi State at 2:30 p.m. CT.
