New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees announced Tuesday morning that he plans to return for the 2020 NFL season.

And his teammates made no secret of their satisfaction with the Pro Bowler's decision to come back for his 20th season. Receiver Michael Thomas, who's shattered NFL receiving records with Brees at quarterback, posted several celebratory messages on Twitter.

Defensive end Cameron Jordan also took to Instagram to acknowledge Brees' announcement.

Brees, 41, passed for 2,979 yards and 27 touchdowns while nearly matching a career-best by completing 74.3 percent of his passes last season despite missing five games with an injured thumb. He's is currently the NFL's all-time leading in touchdown passes, yards, completions and completion percentage.
