Mark Menard

Mark Menard made his way to New Orleans by way of a south Louisiana childhood in Morgan City and a formative stint in Thibodaux where he earned a degree in journalism from Nicholls State University. He started at WWL in 2003 as a twiddler of knobs and answerer of phones, but worked his way through the ranks to become a deliverer of sports.

Mark serves as the weekday afternoon sports anchor for WWL and mans the control room during Sports Talk with Bobby Hebert and Kristian Garic, a role he also handles on New Orleans Saints gamedays during WWL's full slate of coverage as well as the game itself.

Mark also provides a robust array of digital content for WWL.com, whether covering the day-to-day activities of the Saints and Pelicans, big-time New Orleans sporting events like the NBA All-Star Game and WrestleMania, or indulging his nerdier pastimes at local comic conventions. Mark aspires to one day rise to a level of importance that affords him many leather-bound books and a home that smells of rich mahogany.
