Can one basketball player ignite an entire city? Not just his from his great play, but by creating more business and bringing national attention to New Orleans? A couple of local business leaders say with the addition of Zion Williamson to the New Orleans Pelicans, he could do all of those things, and more.

Civic and business leader Greg Rusovich compares it what happened to Cleveland when LeBron James came to that town.

"I think Zion has that same chance to really further enhance New Orleans branding and reputation as a winner," said Rusovich. "Businesses like to invest in a great quality of life and great revenues."

Another exited business leader, Pres Kabacoff, says having a superstar in pro basketball is a window to the world.

"I'm very excited about it, not only from a fan base but from a business base, this is a real opportunity for the city," Kabacoff said.

Kabacoff says of course the best combination is an exciting player and the Pelicans becoming winners, which turns every thing to a good time.

Kabacoff says this could generate more national attention, which in turn not only sells out the Smoothie King Center but bars and restaurants all over New Orleans.
