When it comes to coffee, toothpaste and toilet paper, we’ll shell it out, but not when it comes to hand soap, wine or eating out.  A new study conducted by Slickdeals has uncovered what things we’re ok spending good money on, and what things it’s OK to buy cheap.  Important household items trended towards the expensive side, with beds, couches and televisions cracking the “spend” list.

More of us will be feeling jolly this holiday season, pushing up holiday spending by 5 percent to $1,250 each, thanks to a growing economy. Consulting company PwC says the biggest spenders this year will include men, high-earning millennials and Amazon Prime members.   Nine out of 10 say they plan to shop in brick-and-mortar stores.

Louisiana-based oil and gas driller PetroQuest Energy   says a group of lenders and bondholders has agreed to give the company an extra week in forbearance to continue talks about a potential financial restructuring.
